With the direction in which Nigeria is moving now. I am very
sure we can do better than this, given the level at which God has blessed us
with both capital and human resource. One thing I am never in doubt of in
Nigeria is the intelligence of the people, and even if we are not that
brilliant I know whenever we see something going on in the country In the news
or any other form of media we don’t know when we would start discussing it with
people we socialise it day in day out.
The internet is taking over, people rarely watch the news or
read newspapers anymore the world is moving fast past those media of
communication, now people just switch to their phone and get updated on the
internet, but the problem is our internet news is dominated by identifying
problems and talking about people’s lives, nobody ever proffers solution, WE
NEED SOLUTIONS PLEASE.
The newspaper and t.v. only presents the voice of its
employees, the rate at which it represents the people is as low as the rate at
which a single representative in the house of assembly represents the voice of
his/her constituency.
